Everytime i have sex my symptoms act up and it is painful and sore so i stop and double my valtrex (valacyclovir) then have sex and it happens again- advice?

Not herpes: Sex doesn't trigger herpes outbreaks. Something else probably is causing these symptoms, especially if you only have vaginal irritation without visible herpes blisters/sores. Taking extra Valtrex (valacyclovir) won't help. A yeast infection would be a good bet; or maybe allergy to latex if your partner is wearing a condom. See your gynecologist or whatever doctor is managing your herpes. Good luck.
