Prevent chronic Dise: To avoid chronic diseases like heart disease, diabetes and cancer, you need to eat healthy so that your weight is normal. Overweight is the cause of almost all chronic diseases and it takes about 20-30 years for these diseases to develop. So you have to eat healthy, exercise daily and keep your weight, BP and cholesterol in the nromal range. Blood suger and cholestrol need to be checked regularly.

Heart disease: A healthy diet can prevent a chronic illness such as heart disease and stroke which in part are due to the collection of plaque in the arteries of the heart and brain. Good eating habits high in fruits and vegetables, legumes and whole grains are beneficial in preventing chronic illnesses mentioned above.
