Watchful wait: Sometimes children will wake up in the morning with puffy eyes from a back up of fluid from their nose/sinus area. It sort of pools in that area (if you will). Important considerations would be 1. does it go away over the course of the day? 2. does it worsen over the course of the day? 3. is she she dehydrated? 4. is she urinating as much as she usually does? If not better in 2 days, go see doctor

Please take him /her: to his doctor. This may be a virus, strep, allergic reaction (but fever does not come from an allergic reaction) or a more specific illness. Call them first to ask them for instructions. Depending on his age and vaccination status, they may handle this differently.
