I have had blood in my stool off and on for the past 2 weeks. i went to the er and they did an upper us and blood work. everything was fine. i am 30. ?

Blood in stool: First question is the blood a dark color(black) or bright red? Have you had any blood on the toilet paper? Have you had any, abdominal pain, nausea /vomiting/fever , rectal pain? Had your diet changed dramatically? Dark color indicates you might be bleeding from the stomach or small bowel. Did the Doc do a rectal on you ? Bright red usually benign. US only shows masses-won't show site of bleed.
