Low Thyroid: No. Simply put. But, that does not mean that the dysfunction and possible depression that comes with severe low thyroid levels is not dangerous. Thyroid medicine is cheap. It is easy and safe to take.

Possibly: However, only if severe, undetected and untreated. If you take the proper amount of brand name T4 replacement to keep your levels normal, it's like you never had a problem.
