Due to medical tx: Iatrogenic means due to medical treatment. For hypothyroidism that might include ablation (killing) with radioactive iodine to stop a thyroid from making too much thyroid hormone, or surgery to treat nodules, thyroid cancer, or an overactive thyroid gland.
