See the doctor.: You are already giving your child acetaminphen for the fever. Check the dose and make sure you are using the correct one. Cough and cold remedies are of little value. If the fever persists over 24 hours i would make an appointment for the child to see his doctor.

Supportive care: Most infants will self heal in a week to ten days without specific meds or treatment. Maintaining normal schedules, assuring adequate hydration & nutrition allow the body to respond as well as possible.The occasional use of a fever reducer is fine if grumpy but will not shorten the illness. Cough medicines are discouraged at this age due to their side effects & lack of clear benefit.
