Cough: This may be related to the infecting pathogen. Atypicals like Mycoplasma, adult pertussis, Chlamydia and others can produce prolonged episodes of coughing. The best thing is use an OTC preparation containing dextromethorphan (these are marked DM). Beyond that, ginger, garlic, saline, honey and lemon, cherry bark steeped in boiling water with honey and menthol or eucalyptus oil steamed may help.

Any Suggestions" The good Old Mother knows best formula of Staying snugly warm, chicken soup/ any warm drink plus lemon and honey could probably help but when cough persists one needs MD to be sure there is no Pneumonia or other problems.
