R/O OTITIS: If you used an antibiotic ointment in your ear, it probably was not effective at treating the infection. And may have worsened it. You need a full exam with focused ENT exam. To evaluate for ear infection/ impact ion from antibiotic cream or cerumen impaction.

Tinnitus: Tinnitus or "ringing of the ear " can be caused by antibiotic ointments as Neomycin or tobramycin specially if used for long duration or exceeding the recommended dose. Tinnitus also commonly caused by ear wax blockage, exposure to loud voice and aging. If you have dizziness or hearing loss, consult a physician.
