Probably viral: Your friend most likely has a viral illness. Has she traveled anywhere? Cancun? Well water? Contact with animals? Turtles or reptiles? Cooking Chitlins? Reading between the lines you are obviously worried about the baby, and this is probably contagious, so meticulous hand washing is in order. If baby gets diarrhea or fever, bring her in to be seen.
