Hematochezia: This is the term for overt blood in stool. This is a potential emergency. You must find out where you are bleeding from and why, and do this asap. Go and see a colorectal surgeon or a gastroenterologist as fast as you can and make sure you are not losing excessive amounts of blood and find out where it is coming from. Go now.
