A member asked:

I was diagnosed with amblyopic left eye at 16 yr. my sight has improved from -3.75 to -1 through hard lens. glasses n lens don't work anymore?now what?

Can't improve: If you have amblyopia, it means that your nerve pathways never properly formed between your eyes and your brain. Therefore, even though you can decrease your amount of nearsightedness, you will never obtain 20/20 vision. As a side note, the use of hard lenses to reduce your nearsightedness (called ortho-k) can damage your cornea. Most eye doctors do not recommend this therapy.
