Maybe: You can get your prescription for your ambitious eye. If it is very different than your fellow eye, you may need acontact instead of glasses. It is also possible that the vision may not improve with correction in cases with severe amblyopia.

Can't improve: If you have amblyopia, it means that your nerve pathways never properly formed between your eyes and your brain. Therefore, even though you can decrease your amount of nearsightedness, you will never obtain 20/20 vision.
