I have paronychia in my left index finger. it has formed an abcess and it has been lanced and i'm currently taking augmentin. a couple of hours ago it burst opened and started draining pus on its own... is this is a good sign?

Recurrent abcess: can come form the wound sealing up too soon, or from a bacteria or fungus that is not treated fully by the antibiotic. While daring pus is better than pus in a closed space that does not drain, if recurrent symptoms are occurring most would be advised to seek additional medical attention
