A biopsy: If the lymph nodes are swollen it should be see a=on an US. If it persists the only way to accuratly guage what is going on is a removal of one of the lmyph nodes. Some infecitons, specifically mono can also lead to swollen lymph glands and testing for this would also be reasonable
