?virus: The commonest cause would be a viral intestinal tract infection. Usually nausea with or without vomiting also occurs. Other causes could include food poisoning or food intolerance like lactose,gluten, or reactions to some medications with a laxative like effect. Avoid harsh roughage,drink room temperature fluids and take kaopectate (kaolin and pectin) as needed. Call your physician if symptoms persist or worsen.
