Possibly: Lack of pain would be unusual for RA but it is possible. See a rheumatologist.

Potentially: The 2nd and 3rd "knuckles" are among the most common joints involved in RA, as is the symptom of morning stiffness. There is a simple blood test called rheumatoid factor which is usually ( although not always) positive in patients with RA and so I would not hesitate to get it looked in to. There are now disease modifying medications available that can change the long term outcome of the disease.
