Yes: As a wisdom teeth erupts, it generally comes into the mouth only partially through and in the soft loose tissue found in the very back part of the jaw. This is very prone to infection. See a dentist or oral surgeon soon.

You may or may not have an infection, but without knowing for sure, it's crucial that you see a dentist asap as untreated infections can lead to serious complications. The fact that your feel your throat swollen is especially of concern. If this worsens, go to the er.
