Wear gloves: make sure your hands are warm before you put on gloves at home and then go out

Chilblains: Don't smoke. Limit cold exposure. Cover all exposed skin in cold. Dress in loose, warm, layered clothing & water -resistant footwear. Rewarm skin gradually.
