A member asked:

If the two huge veins under your tongue got cut would it be fatal? and is it normal for them to be literally popping out?

Sublingual veins: If they were cut and no pressure was applied, it is possible you could hemorrhage significantly from that area. It is possible that you could die from uncontrolled hemorrhage in that area. However, the description of them being prominent or popping out is completely normal. That is the way they appear. Any questions, see an ENT to evaluate.
