Depends: Your colleague is not a chickenpox carrier while her kid has them.Unless exposed to the kid, you are not at risk.The vaccine was first commercially available in 1984, and usually given at 1 and 4-5, so if you got the vaccine you would likely be immune.Your doc could run an antibody test to be sure.
