I am 39 female asian patient, i just had my neck ultrasound and it reveals that the rt lobe is 3.2 x 2.8 cm and the lt is 2.7 x 2.8 cm. is it normal?

Variable: Mean length of the thyroid in adults is 40-60 mm and mean dimension from front to back is 13-18 mm. Your gland may be a little enlarged. Information about size and texture of the thyroid on ultrasound needs to be correlated with thyroid function and whether a mass is suspected. Knowing size alone is of limited value.
