Unlikely: Accidental exposure to a small amount of saliva as you describe is very unlikely to transmit hpv but it isn't impossible. I'd say the likelihood of getting it this way is extremely low, however.

YES YES YES: There are about 120 strains of hpv but only #16and 18 are the leading causes of hpv. The mouth contains many of these strains as normal flora and saliva is the mode of transmission.
