Varies: There are a number of tests that are used to screen for celiac disease. The tissue transglutaminase IGA is one of the more dependable, usually ordered with an IGA level.There are others, and the delicate nature of the tests requires that they be done in a facility that does them often to be reliable. Local hospitals rarely have the volume to invest in the specialized equipment.
