A battery of tests: There is a battery of tests for auto-antibodies, IgA level and dq tissue type that can exclude celiac disease. Confirmation of the disease needs intestinal biopsy and examination of the tissue by a pathologist.

Not very : It is perhaps about 50% accurate. We believe it when positive but not when negative. Even biopsy can miss the diagnosis. Best to test celiac genetic panel. Mayo lab and enterolab can do this. Google enterolab and order the test yourself $150.
