Post nasal drainage: occurs when there is excess mucous production that does not run out the nose. Common causes of post nasal drainage include: Cold, Flu, Allergies, and Sinus infection or sinusitis. The bad taste is most likely due to infection. Try taking some over-the-counter medications, including an antihistamine and guafenesin. If your symptoms get worse or don't improve in a week, get checked for infection

Distaste: Your symptoms sounds very similar and are sometimes a result of post nasal drip or gastroesophageal reflux. Antihistamine medications may be of some relief. Best of luck.
