Is it the eye, or: the eyelid? If it's the eyelid, it sounds like it could be a stye or chalazion. These are blocked glands in the eyelid. The treatment is ibuprofen or acetaminophen and warm compresses. If it is the eye, not the lid, please see her pediatrician or eye doctor. If it doesn't get better with the treatment I mentioned, please have her examined.
