Difficult to tell: without seeing the xray. A lung "shadow" could be anything from normal to infection to something more concerning. As they say, "A picture is worth 1000 words". Difficult to say: without seeing the xray. Correctly interpreting chest xrays is a skill that requires years of practice. You should discuss the finding with the doctor who ordered the xray and/or get a copy of the radiologist report, which you might also need to discuss with the doctor. Don't worry about the finding, but don't be afraid to ask questions. If it was serious you probably would have been told.
