Sunlight/salmon/egg: 23 year old female asks; What other ways to improve Vit D deficiency without having to drink milk or take Vit D supplement tablets? Sunlight, direct sunlight to the skin for as little as 15 to 30 minutes can make up to 600 IU equivalent of Vit D in Diet/ Supplement. Other sources; salmon, tuna, egg yolk, fortified cereals, beef liver. Note, too much Vit D has side effects If >4000IU check with MD
