A member asked:

My husband had un controllable chills last night, but no fever and he wasn't cold to the touch. he couldn't stop whole body from shaking. ?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Chills: These are often related to the differential temperatures between the individual and the ambient atmosphere temp. Sometimes the stimulus from the area of the brain (hypothalamus) that serves as the body thermostat creates chilling to increase the body temp by muscular activity and he may have developed fever later after the chills.
