I just had a sleep study and have a mylochonic index of 40.5. is that something to worry about?

Need more info: Just to say "myoclonic index" is vague and uninterpretable unless we know which body part is under discussion (legs, neck, chin, hands/fingers). Also, is the index under discussion with arousals or not? Arousal events are considered to be more important than non-arousal events. So, just the number itself doesn't tell the whole story. A few thoughts: The large majority of sleep myoclonus cases do not need treatment. Depends if episodes interfere with sleep. In bad cases, doctors do have some options. Treatment of myoclonus may include anti-seizure drugs. Discuss with sleep doc.
