Sleep paralysis: You may have sleep paralysis. In sleep paralysis, people find they are paralyzed and unable to move for a few seconds or minutes, as they are falling asleep or waking up. They remain conscious, and the paralysis always goes away. It can be scary. It is seen in narcolepsy, but may also occur in normal people.
