Check thyroid: The common identifiable cause of cold intolerance is hypothyroidism, which your physician will probably screen for if you mention it to him/her. Many people develop cold intolerance without any identifiable cause, and a few people develop visible skin changes due to cold allergy or proteins and precipitate in the cold.

Colds: You are on the right track by eating well but your immune system may still be weak. Ask your doctor about taking vitamin C (at last 2X daily), washing your hands, not touching your eyes, nose, mouth, especially when around those who have colds. Peace and good health.
