Drug Side Effect: Usually heart rate varies between 60 and 100 beats per minute depending on activity level, age, presence of illness, use of medications, stimulants, alcohol, caffeine, chocolate, etc. Rapid HR with Cipro (ciprofloxacin) or any floxin type drug may be from an arrhythmia and should be evaluated by a heart rhythm specialist as deaths have occurred with such issues. Talk to your doctor if concerned.
