Maybe. Maybe not.: If one takes her 21 pills and then starts her new pack (skipping the 7 placebo pills), she can finish the 21 pills of her new pack and then continue into the new pack's 7 placebo pills... and that should be fine (contraception remains effective). However, if she doesn't take all 21 active pills of her new pack but instead hops over to the placebo pills... well, can't really tell what happens then.
