Probably not: Did he have xrays of the nose? Is the area swollen? Did he bleed from the nose? Maybe he should take a day off.

Play it safe: I would err on the side of caution and watch him for at least 24 hours to ensure that any swelling decreases and he does not get another injury. He may have had a concussion if he fell onto his nose while accelerating forward. If he develops any changes in behavior, vision, coordination or symptoms of headache, vomiting, pain or difficulty breathing through his nose or fever, he needs to be seen.
