Maybe but....: Locally advanced or invasive cervical cancer may cause pain, but "cramps" have many much more common causes. Cramps are common right before or during your menstrual period. Pelvic pain can occur if you have a pelvic infection. Bladder infections can cause a cramping sensation when you urinate. Prevention is key. You should focus on HPV vaccination & pelvic exams, pap tests & HPV testing.

No: Cramps are a very common, very normal complaint for many women. There are many reasons to have cramping and cervical cancer is not usually on the differential. Early cervical cancer is frequently asymptomatic, underscoring the importance of screening. The most common symptoms at presentation are irregular or heavy vaginal bleeding or bleeding after sexual intercourse.
