Can ciprofloxacin be used to treat trich?

No: If trichomoniasis has indeed been diagnosed, then Cipro (ciprofloxacin) will be ineffective as the trichomonas species is not bacterial. Flagyl (metronidazole) is typically used for treatment. Talk to your doctor ASAP.

Nope: Ciprofloxacin is ineffective against trichomonas; in fact, cipro (ciprofloxacin) is not recommended for any STD. The only generally available effective treatments for trich are metronidazole (Flagyl® and generics) and tinidazole (Tindamax®).
