Taking bv pills, is it better to take the antibiotic with food, or its ok to just drink with a lot of water?

Metronidazol: Metronidazole may be taken with or without food. It may also be taken with milk to avoid stomach upset. Tablets may be crushed and the capsules may be opened and sprinkled on soft food. The one thing I did find out is that the extended release is better taken on an empty stomach. Hope this helps!
