Colonoscopy: If you have no symptoms and no family history of colon abnormalities, we recommend your first colonoscopy to be at age 50. However, if you have any symptoms related to the colon, particularly rectal bleeding, changes in your bowel habits, or unexplained weight loss, you may need to have it sooner. See your doctor if any symptoms are present. Good luck.
