Stimulates Thyroid: As the name implies, TSH = thyroid stimulating hormone so this hormone does stimulate thyrocytes. If you have hypothyroidism (lazy thyroid), the high TSH will keep stimulating the thyroid gland to make more hormones and that is why we treat with thyroid hormone (or in iodine deficient areas iodine therapy may help).
