Not MRI: I would not refer someone I have not physically examined for an MRI. However, I might recommend that they see their clinician about ordering one. I would refer someone online for physical therapy, as it can be both diagnostic and therapeutic, and is rarely dangerous if performed by a competent therapist. MRIs are often ordered prematurely, w/o appropriate evaluation and conservative treatment.
