See below: If you have no symptoms of the disease, there is no reason to use antivirals. That is just increased cost and exposure to medication adverse effects without any benefit, and no reasonable doctor would prescribe this. Hsv is not a virus you can eradicate, so even if you have it, it will always be with you, antiviral or not.
