Tests steroid metab: Apparently you are undergoing a work up for steroid and male hormones/androgen metabolism. These are unusual blood tests, and typically only performed when, usually a specialist, has a specific diagnosis in mind. I'm certain you can receive a better, more satisfying explanation by working with the doctor who ordered these tests. Pursuing that is your best option. Good wishes:)

Hi aldosterone: Why did the Dr. order these tests? Your team will know how to interpret them best. Complex issue. You might want to go to the Facebook site Conn's Syndrome hyperaldosteronism or hyperaldosteronism@yahoogroups.com and explore what they say and you can give much more information.
