My family doctor told me that my adrenal gland what producing to much aldosterone hormones which cause me to have low potassium is this serious?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Aldosteroneoma: Sometimes you can have a (benign) tumor on one adrenal that makes too much aldosterone. It causes hypertension and low k. It can be treated with aldactone, (spironolactone) but sometimes surgery can cure it. But sometimes it is not surgically curable. The condition is serious if not treated, mainly due to the hypertension and low k.
