7mo w/acrocyanosis. motted appearance on limbs, no central acrocyanosis. good perfusion & normal oxygen stats. doc didn't worry about motted appearanc

Acrocyanosis: If oxygen level is normal, acrocyanosis is normal, although at 7 month it is unusual, unless the room the baby is in is cold. We usually examine the tongue; if the tongue is blue, that is more serious. The pediatrcian listens to the heart and lung carefully. Sometimes exposure to certain substances can do that, like methhemoglobinemia.
