Hyperbaric oxygen: There is no evidence that hyperbaric oxygen treatment can improve limb health unless there is a more specific indication to use this treatment. There are 13 indications for hyperbaric oxygen treatments approved for payment by medicare.

Yes: Usually done only if there is a wound or ulcer. Go to wound care center. Ask your podiatrist to develop foot care plan.

Yes. No. Maybe.: While hyperbaric oxygen therapy (hbot) is a powerful treatment for diabetic foot ulcers, it only works as an adjunct. That is, you have to control the diabetes, restore as much blood flow as possible, perform standard wound care, and "do all the other stuff right, " first. It is only added on for healing after all other options fail. (hbot will not do any good if the limb does not have an ulcer).
