Yes: Yes. Wellbutrin (bupropion) has been shown to help with weight loss in depressed patients. It helped to suppress appetite. You still need to be smart about food choices and maintain some level of physical activity. The weight loss was moderate. Some studies demonstrated up to 28% of people lost more than 5 lbs.

Not for weight loss: Wellbutrin (bupropion) has a side effect of some weight loss in some patients but is not recommended as a weight loss medication. May cause seizures at certain doses and should not be used without medical supervision.
