Yes, but not much: Bupropion treatment is associated with a mild weight loss in some people, perhaps 2-3 pounds. However, if you have lost over 7 pounds, there may be some other factors at work. Talk to your doctor about the weight loss, be sure you do not have an underlying illness as a cause for the weight loss.

Yes: Weight loss is one side effect of the medication. It's being studied with other medications as a weight loss agent. Currently using this drug for weight loss is considered "off-labeled".
