34 y/o, had mammo that showed an "area of concern." had an u/s on mon and said i would hear back in 3-5 days, dr checked but no report yet. bad news??

Possibly: Area of concern on mammo can only be defined by excisional bx. Sono can only define if there is fluid in a possible lesion or a discrete area in a widened area of fibrosis. If lesion is borderline lesion in terms of microCca, then a repeat mammo in 3-4 mo to define if progression in microCa is occurring. Then bx is definitely a requirement.
